"A beautiful hotel with fantastic sunset views. The reception staff were fantastic, friendly and so helpful. Rooms very comfortable and spacious and worth paying the extra for one of the high rooms giving the great views. Restaurant is good for evening meal and breakfast, if a bit expensive but there are plenty of good local restaurants nearby in easy walking distance. Quite a steep walk down into town - and even steeper on the way back. Plenty of parking."

"The room was quite quiet although it wasn’t too far from the highway. Breakfast was nice. They also have a gym (not too equipped but still decent) and pool. Staff was nice. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was quite modern. View was also lovely!"

"Monteverde Lodge is exceptional. Everything is perfect without being pretentious. The staff is very friendly and obliging and nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant is very good. Breakfast is all freshly cooked with juice plus tea & coffee. We stayed for three nights but there is so much to do in the area could easily have stayed another couple of nights. Nearby Monteverde town hosts a variety of cafes restaurants and gift shops. It's a 10min walk downhill to town but worth a short taxi ride back Recommended."

It was the most expensive stay of our entire trip but the unique location made it worth it."
