Little troubles with water pressure and warm water but Khatira was helpful and ready to solve problems.

"My father and I loved our night at this lodge. The yurt was large, the beds comfortable, and there were plenty of blankets to keep us warm. The site is also very nice, being surrounded by nature. The outdoor bathrooms are great too. Very clean. And what about the meals? We opted for their dinner offer, which was excellent, even if it was a bit pricey compared to what you find in local restaurants. We recommend it. There were two salads, the main course, and a small dessert. Breakfast was also delicious. The crepes, yum! We recommend staying here :)"

The accommodation is quite remote and arriving at night (my own "fault"), the drive up into hills from nearest "main" road is a long way through forest. A bit tricky, but worth the trip! Important to have good guidance in advance!

Windows are not very soundproof, so for me, sleeping was difficult, but for a few nights, stay worth using ear plugs as the location is great.

I liked everything about it but if I could add one thing A/C in the top bedroom would be nice! There were fans though!

The bed was really hard. There were just a few things that needed fixing around the place. If these were resolved I would give it 10/10.

Just minor disadvantages: no power sockets available for charging in the bedroom, cash payment only. No hooks in the bathroom and towels I think shall be replaced after each 2-3 days.

"It was wonderful. Ximena our host was just the best. We loved the pool and the generous outside loungers and seating areas. It being March and the crazy hot season, the pool water was like bath water! The location was fantastic. Everything was beautifully clean. It was lovely to have our own kitchen, which was generously stocked up before our arrival. There was nothing to fault. We loved our stay here."

I was a bit concerned about previous reviews about lack of heating and hot water but the place was warm and we didn’t need the heaters provided, shower water was hot which we needed for the long treks in the surrounding mountains. "The location is beautiful as there is a view on both the mountains and the sea. It is not walking distance to Jiufen which is a good thing because it's too busy there and I rather drive a few minutes for a visit and then back to some peace and quiet. The couple that owns and runs the hotel are very nice and helpful. We loved the traditional Chinese breakfast sitting outside the hotel looking at this amazing view"

"Amazing place- very special. Large accommodation. Loved having ac in the bedrooms. Well equipped. Lots of wildlife in the garden, we woke one morning to a whole troupe of howler monkeys in the tree above our house and we were able to sit in the lookout area and watch them. Great location - very close to beach and cafes. Owner responsive and helpful."

Kitchen equipment could do with a bit of a refresh - eg chopping boards. And it's more expensive than anywhere else we stayed - but it was totally worth it, we loved it.

The shower pressure was on a low side however the owner promised to act on it.

The road outside the house can be a little noisy but not too bad at night.

Il serait bien qu'un minimum pour le premier petit déjeuner soit proposé ce serait top et peut être un peu plus de vaisselle comme on peut y être entre 4 et 6 personnes c'est un peu léger.

"It was so well equipped for our family. The small pool was great for my 3 year old. We had our own private entrance, patio and outdoor sitting area. It felt safe and provided a restful place for us to call home for 5 days. Many beaches nearby, one within walking distance."

There are tons of mosquitos and tiny ants. This was observed elsewhere on the island that we stayed too and is not particular of this property. Be prepared with your own insect repellent.

"The location was excellent, its best suited for families and those who want to spend time in solitude a little away from hustle and bustle of main road. House is well equipped with ameneties. Be prepared with your own stuff and its like living in your own home."

Nothing But a word of caution the road to house comes down from main Abbottabad road for 6 minutes through some steep slopes, tight turns and a beautiful forest. In the Morning its amazing, at night chance of getting panicked. Dont panick! Just make sure your car has good engine, tyres and breaks.

"Wonderful authentic location, close to Gustavia and on small sandy beach. Very well maintained and feels brand new. We loved to watch the locals to come to the pier in front of the house and gather for sunset. Most beautiful sunset on the porch. Gym is a great perk. Beds are very comfortable and the house is beautifully furnished and equipped with everything we needed."

"Huge thanks to Trish and Kyle for their warm welcome to their property. The well maintained cottages really take you back to a simpler time, allowing you to really keep things simple and take in all the area has to offer. The place was well stocked to allow us to cook and chill to some island drinks. The beach towels were a huge plus. Their recommendations were helpful and right on."

Our neighbors were quite loud ... but they were a happy loud, always singing (when we were trying to sleep). We didn't say anything - just kept it island style.
