"Marie was responsive. She explained the washing machine and the bike store both of which we really appreciated. We slept really well and thankfully didn't fall down the steep stairs from the top floor."

"We were very happy. I did find the top stairs challenging though and disconcertingly one of the spindle posts that I grabbed is loose but that is easily fixed."

"We liked everything about La Petit Maison. The property was characterful, full of charm, spotlessly clean, inviting, homely, in a superb, town centre location. Modernly equipped. Our double bed was comfortable and the bedding and pillows sooo cosy. Importantly to us, there is secure bike storage too. Lots of lovely welcoming touches at this property. Good contact with our host, who was at the end of the phone if required. Can recommend La Villa d'Este (walking distance) for a wonderful Italian meal with superb service. Booking is required."

"There was nothing to dislike but I would advise that the bedroom is on the top floor of this town house and the upper staircase is rather steep."

"I'd booked La Petite Maison as base for a cycling holiday in the hilly countryside around Sisteron, which was as spectacular as I'd hoped and I did some wonderful rides through it. La Petite Maison is right in the historic centre, just a couple of minutes' walk above the shops and cafes. It's small but well-furnished and equipped, and Marie and her mother were helpful and welcoming."

"It's hard to find fault:- the stair/ladder to the top floor bedroom was a real effort of concentration with exhausted legs. It was very hot towards the end of my stay and the fan/chiller in the bedroom had limited effect, but then that's the south of France in summer these days."

"The Petite Maison was a true delight, cozy, comfortable and well located in the old neighborhood of Sisteron, short walking distance from the Citadelle and all facilities of the town. The attention to details was well appreciated throughout the house, coffee cups in the bedroom, cookies and chocolates upon our arrival. Marie is absolutely charming. We highly recommend this wonderful property in Sisteron."

"Ne connaissant pas les lieux nous avons dû porter nos bagages à la main du parking Alcazar au logement à l'arrivée. Il faut savoir qu'il est possible de venir avec son véhicule dans la petite rue à sens unique où se trouve le logement. Ce que nous avons fait au départ! Marie L'Hôte nous a également précisé qu'il y avait un parking plus près du logement; celui de la Citadelle. Marie est une hôte très agréable qui fait tout pour accueillir ses clients dans les meilleures conditions. Sa petite maison est un havre de paix très fonctionnel et aménagé avec goût."
