Located on the UNESCO-listed Ilulissat Icefjord in western Greenland is this 4-star hotel. It provides fine dining and a free shuttle service from Ilulissat Airport, 5 minutes’ drive away. Güncel furnishings and décor are featured in each Hotel Arctic room, as well as artwork by local artists. All have a flat-screen TV with cable channels, while some also offer a minibar and views over the sea and icebergs. Disko Bay views, a summertime terrace and Greenlandic cuisine can be enjoyed at the gourmet Restaurant Ulo. Guests can unwind after dinner with a drink in the Bar. A tour desk is available at Arctic Hotel. Ilulissat town centre is within a 5 minute drive of the hotel, while the polar explorer Knud Rasmussen’s birthplace, now a museum, is 3 km away.

"Near the airport, and you could see the icebergs float by every night. The staff were very friendly as well."

"Slightly away from town area, so less light pollution when observing Aurora at night. The glasses are clean so you definitely have a very clear view of the beautiful scenery around. Definitely recommend it, if you are looking to enjoy the view and Aurora in warm and cozy bed."
"The chalet is slightly away from the main building, it would be nice if the hotel can offer help with the luggage + lead the way to the chalet."
"It’s located about 2 kms away from the town centre, facing the fjord/sea. The whole hotel looks new, staff are friendly and welcoming, and the open deck outside the hotel restaurant is the perfect place to watch the sunset over the fjord/sea. The public bus to town stops right outside the hotel main entrance. Perched on a hill, the room windows look out over the fjord/sea, giving unobstructed views of the icebergs during the day and clear views of the aurora at night."

"The view from our room was the best we have ever had. The breakfast was great and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The walk to Ilulissat centre was around a 15 minute walk. We loved this as we could see a lot more of Ilulissat on the way into town."
"We requested a double bed and this was approved. When we arrived we had 2 single beds with mattresses that were too big for the bed. This was minor and did not impact our stay."
"I originally booked a junior suite , but the junior suites are the 5 series rooms which are on the lower level( although they are more expensive) upon checkin we didnt like the room much and requested to be moved to a smaller room but on higher floor. We were moved to a higher floor 7th (710) by this kind beautiful lady. 710 has amazing views, and we thought this was even better than the cabin ( we had stayed in cabin for 3 nights earlier). We saw whales on the last day from our windows"

"Beautiful accommodation and excellent communication with the hosts."
"We stayed here in September after walking the Arctic circle trail. We were faster than expected, so we contacted the owner as soon as we arrived in town. He immediatly told us we could stay at the house and came to pick us up in 10min to bring us there. It is a bedroom in his home and he immediately made us feel very welcome. We had space in the fridge, the entire kitchen available and we were allowed to use the washing machine to clean all our stuff. The WiFi was also excellent. The host was very friendly and taught us lots about Greenland, Inuit culture and history and the surrounding area. He also offered to take us on a boat trip to the ghost village (at a much better rate than any other provider). All in all a great place to stay!"
"Great location, we had a view at the Sisimiut museum. The restaurant staff were very flexible and helpful, they assembled a vegan meal for us, even though there was none in the menu."
