Coco Bamboo Beach Camp

"We enjoyed staying in the camp, which is surrounded by beautiful nature and directly connected to a private beach. It was great to see the camp in its first steps and we are really looking forward to come back. During our time we enjoyed delicious meals with the community and had beautiful conversations together, we also welcomed the opportunity to have a camp fire next to the beach. Beside the accommodation we booked a cacao workshop and cacao farm visit, which connected us with the land and surroundings even more."

"The Camp is located at a wonderful small beach, surrounded by palm trees and mangrove forest. The whole small camp is designed were nicely and made with a lot of love. It has a very nice chill/kitchen area with a large table to get together with the other guests and volunteers. We could join the family dinner and breakfast for some extra money, which was very tasty. We did rent kayaks and went to the mangrove forest. The host Laurence helped a lot in preparing the trip and gave us a lot of information to arrive to the camp and go to Livingston. She was very helpful and kind as the other guest were. I would recommend to stay at least three nights, but a few days longer would probably be even better."

"Who stays at Coco Bamboo beach camp should know that its off grid and not a comfortable hotel. This includes quite hard camp beds in the tents (I don't how the other rooms are), a more or less fully open space and just small shops in the village around. You also need to know that transport from Puerto Barrios or Livingston cost between 200 and 400Q (there are a few options for 100Q) and are harder to get after 17:00. But all aspects are no problem at all if you know what you want and get."

"Thvaj you so muhc Cacao bamboo team! A nature and bird watchers paradise. So peaceful. And everyone was so friendly and I enjoyed yummy family meals. I had a lovely stay and lots of doggy cuddles too. I really loved the bamboo hut too a the stunning spot Good luck wiht it all and love the bamboo and cacao projects 💜 Katie x"

"Anche se in bassa stagione l'offerta dei pasti era fissa e limitata, non era possibile organizzare un trasporto da e verso l'hotel (raggiungibile solo via mare/lancia da Livingston. I proprietari non sono mai arrivati e ci hanno fatto far riferimento ad una bravissima ragazza che stava lavorando da pochi giorni in modo stagionale alla pari, che ha provato ad aiutarci e supportarci al meglio nonostante l'esperienza sulla location di pochi giorni. Le camere sono molto calde perchè non hanno il ventilatore."

"Diese Unterkunft ist wirklich ein verstecktes Juwel. Es ist zwar dementsprechend auch herausfordernd von Livingston zu dieser Unterkunft mit dem Lancha zu kommen, aber die Hostin Laurence kümmert sich bereits darum, die Anreise in Zukunft noch leichter zu gestalten und die Unterkunft ist es auf jeden Fall wert!! Alles war wie ein kleines Paradies, das Essen so gesund und gemeinsam mit den Volunteers, Hosts und anderen Gästen, der kleine Strand, den wir nur für uns hatten, die gesamte Anlage mit so viel Liebe zum Detail. Die Hostin Laurence ist eine sehr besondere Frau mit tollen Hilfsprojekten und vielen Geschichten, die sie bereits erlebt hat. Vielen Dank für dieses einmalige Erlebnis auf unserer Guatemala-Reise ❤️"

"Und hat alles gefallen, man muss nur wissen und sich darauf vorbereiten, dass die Sandflies am Morgen und am Abend am Strand sehr aktiv sind und man sowohl im Zelt als auch in den Hütten natürlich mit vielen Insekten zusammen ist. Für wen das absolut nichts ist und auch nicht so ein Community-Mensch ist, ist Coco Bamboo vielleicht nicht der richtige Ort. Wer aber gern mit der Natur und anderen Menschen verbunden ist, wird hier die beste Zeit haben. 😊"
