Josie is the best host someone could ask for - she is very attentive to the guests and always prepared to help or to recommend places for maximising the experience of tourists. The place overall and the room were not only super clean and comfortable (I literally slept like a baby, haha), but equipped with all the necessary things for a great stay. For me, having visited the Singapore tourism highlights on a previous visit, it was not an issue at all, but good to be aware that those highlights take a bit of time to get to. Also good to be aware you are welcomed into an actual home while the owners are living there. It's part of the charm.

"Konumu heryere çok yakındı. Çok temiz ve ihtiyacımız olan herşey vardı. Odada bizim için bırakılmış şarap ikramı çok tatlı bi düşünce. Ev sahibi çok nazik."

"Such a cozy and homey place to stay! The house itself is 254 years old, full of charm and character. The owner was so welcoming and shared the amazing story of how it was his great-great-grandfather who built it, such a cool piece of history. I also got to go up to the roof, which had a beautiful view overlooking the city and the neighborhood. Definitely made the stay extra special"

We had a couple dead cockroaches in the place that wasn't our favorite. We also had a line of fire ants on the wall in the master bedroom. There were also a lot of cockroaches outside of the apartment and one ended up getting into our vehicle which the kids didn't like

"Elvis and Claudia are wonderful hosts. Helping you out with their local knowledge, lifts to different places in Georgetown and advice on what to do. The rooms come with a very quiet AC and a comfortable bed. The area is safe and a local store is less than 5 minutes walk away. The rooms were spotless and the breakfast of scrambled eggs with toast was just what I wanted. While they advertised a check-in and out time they are very flexible. Free Tea and coffee was supplied in the dining room."

Remember to bring PG Tips 😉.

"We had the most amazing time at the Vera Sunset Homestay. Phonephet and his family are very friendly and the island is perfect for a few days off the beaten path. You can just relax in your hammock all day or explore the rural island and play football with the village kids. The food was very good and fresh. The standard of the bungalows is basic and in line with the price. Definitely one of our highlights in hole SOA and we can't wait to come again!"

"Very good location, close to the city beach , 5 min on foot. There is a pool on property which is very practical when it is hot during the day and you do not feel like walking to the beach. An outdoor kitchen is available, there is a gas stove, BBQ place etc, very useful for people wanting to cook. The apartment is clean, spacious and right for our group. The hosts are extremely nice people, ready to help when needed. I would definitely recommend this place to travellers! Thank you Safar guest house!"
