"Staff very friendly but a lack of English meant it was difficult. For example, we had no plug in the hand basin in the bathroom so asked for one but they did not understand. We had to resort to taking a photo of the basin but still did not get a plug!"

"Tea County is a peaceful oasis away from the hustle, hustle and noise of Munnar. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The food is very good - lots of veg and non-veg Indian options plus some western. Loved the oats / porridge with honey and cut fruit and the masala omlette for breakfast."

"The bed was great - generously sized and about the right firmness for a good night's sleep. The duvet however was a little narrow (same width as the bed) - a wider duvet would have avoided the duvet wars in the night."

Generous daily supply of bottles water. Very polite security staff. Excellent porters, always happy to help. Nice beer and wine bar, though currently limited to only 2 types of beer during my stay. Fair priced. Good spa and massage facilities, but sadly, no pool. Very good and reasonable laundry service."

"A mini fridge would have been an asset. No currency exchange despite this being advertised on hotel literature. A long trek to the I accommodation block. I was advised to book the more expensive rooms, next time. +1000 Rup. Very limited breakfast options for non Indians. The egg station was excellent. Only 2 bath towels provided, no hand towel. Mean with the supply of toilet rolls."

The property’s architecture was beautiful, and the gardens were immaculately maintained. Every staff member we met was genuinely happy, which showed how well the management supports their team. The service staff and chefs were highly professional, the food was excellent, and the cleanliness standards were outstanding. Our couples massage was also a wonderful experience, carried out with great professionalism."

"The knocking on the door att 22.30 and insisting to open the door just after a shower to sign papers regarding stuff put on the room. A bit scary since they first said "roomservice" and then backed of from that and just said "please open the door". We had to open the door (only wearing a towel) to sign papers that we could sign the morning after instead when checking out. We did not even know if the person insisting we open the door were hotel personell until we opened. Also slightly expensive taxi service. They really rely on ther mini monopoly and charge a hefty rate to their guests. When confrontet with price they answered with a slight smirk and said "well then try the Uber". Felt a bit uncalled for after we checked out."
