"It was spacious and very comfy beds. It was also equipped with everything we needed."

"Great location at the South side of Song Kul lake. Breakfast was tasty and plenty. You can also get (packed) lunches and dinner. Phone reception is good and you can charge your phone in the evening in the main yurt. Stayed for two nights there. So peaceful and relaxing. Loved it!"

"Honestly couldn’t ask for anything better. Great location- 10 minutes away from The 7 Rila lakes, food was amazing, the itslef place was soo cozy and welcoming. Host was also amazing, very friendly, talked to us, gave us advice about our upcoming trip to the lakes, very sweet. 10/10 if youre looking for a relaxing place with a spirit!"

Was a bit musty smelling, but after being opened up and aired out and a candle or two it was perfect.

Staff very helpful and food good value for hotel facilities. Ample breakfast included too. They offer excursions but we did not try due to lack of time. Hotel arranged transfer to airport which was perfect."

"This is a beautiful and well run place to stay. I was made welcome as soon as I arrived. Room was very nice and such good value for money. Peaceful place even with it being next to the lake where there was much singing and dancing and fireworks for the water festival (Bon Om Touk). Green and lush surroundings. I ordered my chicken fried rice when I arrived for 4 hours later. 4 hours later I was eating chicken fried rice."

"Haiko is a wonderful person who welcomed us upon arrival at the lodge and provided us with excellent directions to the island's beaches and restaurants/bars. The property is strategically located for reaching both the stunning northern beaches and Arikok National Park. We appreciated the lush vegetation surrounding the lodges and the chirping birds that accompanied us during breakfast. Each lodge respects privacy and is equipped with all the amenities, making it a delightful stay."

Having to leave

The room was clean but had some dust. The housekeeping can improve on this.

"The place and outlook are very nice on the vulcano, from room and from jacuzzi :) The secret hike trail is very nice and should not be missed (Mariposa trail?). Jacuzzi is also very nice extra."

Breakfast could be a little more. You can choose from a menu. It was good, but an additional side or some bread would be nice. The street to the hotel could better maintained.

"Lodge was great with comfortable room, excellent buffet dining room facility and small swimming pool to cool off in between excursions. The highlights are the 2-3 times daily excursions which really make the high cost absolutely worth it. Our guide, Alfredo, was amazing, bi-lingual, sensitive to the local environment and even played the guitar over dinner and breakfast!"

Only downside really is the fact that there is only 1 included boat time to the lodge and back from Iquitos. We had to pay $180 extra for a personal boat because LatAm airlines brought our flight forward - not the lodge's fault, but something to look out for.

Nothing: We actually didn’t book the transfers cause we had another vehicle organised however that fell through. But mama let us go first to the lodge and she’d wait at the airport. Lucky she got a ride back home from the family at airport. She has an immense amount of responsibility and knowledge of the island. As a local to Rarotonga people like her are very rare to be around. I am so grateful to have had crossed paths with her. Na te Atua I tauturu iakoe e Mama Manarangi. Maroiroi koe I toou oraanga. Meitaki atupaka kiakoe no te akonoanga ia tatou.

"Hermoso lugar... tenes todo cerca para que jueguen los chicos, pileta, para pescar nos encantó la cabaña super cómoda y toda equipada ...super recomendable"

Only gripe might be that the air was quite dry, making sleep quality not so good: might be because of it being a wooden bldg

"I had an excellent stay at Top Lodge, certainly, an improvement from my previous stays here. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, ensuring a warm welcome and attentive service throughout. The lodge itself was impeccably clean, and the pool area provided a perfect spot for relaxation. Additionally, the breakfast served at Top Lodge was simply delicious, and filling. Overall, I highly recommend Top Lodge for its friendly staff, cleanliness, delicious breakfast, reliable Wi-Fi, and inviting pool area."

"Beautiful place next to a river and the mangrove bushes. The lady at the service desk speaks very good English. That’s was very helpful. The excursion to the monkeys was very fun and the boat tour was beautiful!"

We had a cockroach in our room

"We spent a few days in spacious bungalows. We were picked up by taxi from the airport and quickly arrived at our accommodation, where Cynthia was waiting for us. Cynthia provided us with detailed information about the property (water, safety, etc.) and shared interesting facts about the area (shops, restaurants, and the beach). The bungalows have a well-equipped kitchenette and a large terrace, from which we could admire the starry sky in the evenings. In the morning, we were served a delicious breakfast, including homemade yogurt and jam. The morning conversations with Cynthia during breakfast were wonderful. The guesthouse also offered free rental of easy-to-use bicycles. We have fond memories of our lazy days on the atoll, and we highly recommend this guesthouse."

The guesthouse is no longer the newest, but that's why it has its own atmosphere.

A little hard to find.

"Nice forest hut on the edge of a forest - 10 min to a beach by foot. You are really almost in the middle of nature here. The forest was full of blackberries when we were there. The kitchenette corner is smallish but sufficient to make a meal for a family of four."

It may be a bit challenging to find the right road leading to the house, but we managed. Go past the road leading to the two storey apartment houses, and turn to the left of the warehouse-like structure which is further on the road.
