"We have been going to Commodores Lodge for many, many years, taking overseas visitors to enjoy - it is always a lovely central space to chill away from the main street of Russell. The units are well equipped and the facilities, including laundry, BBQ, and kayaks really add to the convienence of the place. We enjoy the sociable atmosphere with neighbouring units - everyone stops for a chat and it is great to hear everyone's adventures for the day."

"I stayed in the poolside view room, but also had friends in the waterfront room-- which was an absolutely exceptional feature. The size of the rooms were great and appropriate for the cost of the rooms, with the bedroom being seperate a great feature. Very helpful and accomodating staff and truly the best location possible in town."
