"Very nice hotel that is a few minutes walk from the train station as well as the bus to Machu Picchu. Friendly and helpful staff, nice and quiet room, breakfast available from very early with made to order eggs. Highly recommended"

"Our stay in 1911 was a short one but a really good one. The staff is very friendly and kind they recommended a very good restaurant as we were not feeling very good. The room was spotless and the bed and pillows super comfortable. Very early breakfast is available and with different options. It's very well located near to everything in the town"

"Mary was very helpful and was the perfect receptionist. She was very kind and had the utmost patience. The breakfast started really early at 0430 for the convenience of the guests, and it was ample for a busy day. They had umbrellas for use on rainy days and had some hot teas available. It was very close to the train station and about 6-8min walk to the bus station for Machu Picchu."

The town is small and entirely walkable but there are shops and restaurants within a minute's walk of 1911. The staff was super friendly and served up a really good breakfast every morning. ."

"La Cabaña de Huerta Mar es un ambiente acogedor que brinda calidez y calma. Los anfitriones son personas muy amables y atentas a cualquier necesidad. Cuentan con una huerta adorable y unos acompañantes de cuatro patas cariñosos. Los techos elevados de la casa hacen que se mantenga el ambiente lo suficientemente fresco a comparación de la sensación térmica que se percibe al exterior. "The pool was pristine, very well looked after and warm! Staff were friendly, we were the only guests for most of our stay because of it being rainy season and just outside of carnival time when it was fully booked. There are a number of animals (dog, cats etc.) which are also very keen to get to know you! It's right on the beach and while you can't enter the sea as it's very choppy, it's nice to walk along. You can also sit on covered seats on the beach and watch the sun go down. Food didn't make us ill which is always a bonus. Bed was massive and shower was really powerful."

The downtown shops and markets are a short walk from the hotel. The hotel is easy to find on the main road on the north side of town. There appeared to be a drinks bar on the property but not integrated with the hotel or restaurant."
