"Mr. Bongay is a lovely calm host. The location is wonderful between 2 amazing beaches, perfect for sunset. It's a wooden house with basic facilities, electricity and water are mostly available, comfortable bed with mosquito net. Unique opportunity to experience village life first hand."

"The guesthouse is right on the beach with beautiful view to the ocean in all directions. The owner and the manager are super friendly. Bureh beach is far more the best in Sierra Leone. Untouched, long and clean."

"We had a magnifient stay at Mr Robinson’s hut. The location is perfect, secluded and right on the beach. Bureh is a very very chilled out fishing village with a fantastic beach. It’s certainly not ‘touristy’, but is nonetheless well equipped for travellers/tourists (multiple restaurants on the beach, surfing, clothes and trinkets market etc.). Our hosts (Mr Bongay and Donald) were amazing, so friendly - they organised all the activities we requested, including a tour of the local village and a bonfire bbq on the beach with fresh fish. We hope to visit again!"

"The power is slightly intermittent. You can easily charge your phone, and there is a fan in the rooms, but don’t expect air con or wifi etc. - it wasn’t a problem for us, with plenty to do outside of the hut!"

"Ambiance detendue et hôtes très accueillant et prévenants. Nous recommandons. Situé entre 2 belles plages de sable blanc, l’accès se fait par un ponton fraîchement construit. Coucher de soleil sympa !"

"For me, it was the perfect place. I had my own little flat/bungalow for several days. I asked the staff to get me a few things from the local market and there is a nice supermarket very close by so I could easily get what I needed to cook or for drinks and snacks. There is AC, Wifi, and cable TV. Even though it is not right in the center of town or some of the more popular places, it is just off a main road so very easy to get public transport. It takes just 10 minutes to get to the main hub in town. The value is excellent. So much cheaper than a hotel and with more amenities to be more self-sufficient. The host Sacha is very polite, accommodating, and laid back. His staff is very helpful."

"The place is not a 5-star guest house, and I was pleasantly surprised by the way I was treated. The staff were lovely, the rooms were clean, and the facilities were better than some of the hotels I have stayed in across Africa. My bed was even a TV bed — I connected my MP3 player and listened to music through the bed speakers… great experience! The location is excellent, with the airport just a stone’s throw away. The staff even went out to buy takeaway food for me when I requested it, which I really appreciated. I do wish they had WiFi, but I understand they may be keeping their costs down. However, I was given a pre-loaded SIM card to make calls to my family, which was a thoughtful gesture."

"Very spacious apartments, good view to the sea, well furnished including living room and kitchen. Good location, there is an Indian and Chinese groceries stores nearby, the ferry to the airport and money exchange is walkable distance. The staff were super pleasant and helpful. They answered all of our questions, recommended places to go, helped to negotiate prices with taxi drivers, organized taxis, exchanged money. There also a decent restaurant nearby called El Greco"
