"Fantastic staff, service and food. We stayed, two couples, for three nights and liked it a lot! The staff was very attentive and friendly and Zuma cooked amazing food. Bicycles to borrow, the beack is 10 minutes away. Also went snorkeling wit the Meremeta boat and crew - world class!"
"Some distance (2km?) from the beach and no pool available yet, but the beach and excursuons are still easy to reach."

"Extreme helpful owner, from providing transfer to airport as to help with any other problem. Breakfast always in time even if you leave early. Very affordable snorkelling excursions and great whale shark watching. Rooms are clean, well maintained. Lovely garden. Good wifi. Decent meals for a reasonable price."
"Please be aware there is no swimming pool (yet), but as diving/snorkelling is a main activity I did not miss it."
"Meremeta has a beautiful lodge with an amazing garden. He and his staff were very friendly and took care of me and the other guests in an amazing way. I was really happy with the service and when I needed help with anything, Meremeta took care of it. The food was good, the location was perfect because I went scuba diving at Mafia Island Diving everyday. The room was very clean and so was the bathroom. 10/10 would recommend!"

"Spacious and very clean room with fans and air conditioning. Power-bar in room very helpful for charging. Couches and hammock outside of room and large shared seating areas. Breakfast and dinner were good, plus accommodation of special dietary requests at dinner and breakfast. Free water/coffee/tea all day Location is a bit far from everything, but owner helped with transportation even very early in the morning."

"Meremeta Lodge is one of the few places in Mafia Island that has air-conditioning - a must in February. The staff members are all great, and the owner (Meremeta) is very friendly, attentive, available, accommodating and helpful - nothing is too much effort for him; you can ask him anything and he will always answer "it is possible"! Meremeta Lodge is also one of the very few places in Mafia that is owned by a local Mafian, and we recommend that you support local."

"Veramente favoloso! La posizione è perfetta per raggiungere il nyerere National park. Il proprietario è gentilissimo e molto disponibile, ha organizzato per noi la visita al parco. Anche lo staff è preparato e gentilissimo. Lavorano al campo anche dei Masai che ti accompagnao la sera in camera e ti aiutano con le valige. La struttura affaccia direttamente sul fiume in una posizione sicura e rialzata e da qui si può organizzare un safari in barca della durata di circa due ore in cui si possono vedere coccodrilli, vari tipi di uccelli e ippopotami. La vista dalla camera è dalla zona comune è spettacolare. La camera è pulita e spaziosa e con una vista meravigliosa. Ulteriore nota positiva è il cibo, cucinato internamente sul fuoco e veramente buonissimo. Ogni dettaglio del campo, dagli alloggi alla cucina, è curato e garantisce un'esperienza immersiva. Riassumendo....meraviglioso e fortemente consigliato."

"I stayed at zLife Hostel for one night and absolutely loved it. Modi, the reception staff, was exceptionally kind and thoughtful. He gave me excellent advice on how to spend the day in Stone Town, explained why it’s important to use an official guide, what the fair prices should be, and helped me avoid common tourist traps. I truly felt looked after. The hostel is very well located, in a small lively alley where locals often stop to take photos. It’s walking distance from the main marina where excursions depart and close to everything in Stone Town. My room was beautiful, very clean, and had a private bathroom. There was no AC, but the large fan worked perfectly. The Wi-Fi was reliable, and the windows had metal bars, which made me feel very safe. The overall cleanliness was excellent. A warm, well-run hostel with great people and a fantastic location. I would definitely stay here again."
