Ev sahibi ve ailesi mükemmel güler yüzü ve sıcak tavırları ile bizi hep mutlu etti. Trene yetişmek için sabah 6’da çıkış yapmamıza rağmen uyanıp bizi uğurladı. "Beautiful setting with an incredible view from the room and balcony. Massive bed, very comfortable. Fridge in room with water provided and tea/coffee. Excellent host and delicious breakfast - best we had whilst in Sri Lanka - changed everyday and all homemade local food. We were also welcomed with a freshly made lassi on check in."

"The view from the room is incredible, also very comfortable bed and pillows. The shower is also very modern. Staff are lovely and attentive. Also, you gotta wake up for the breathtaking sunrise from the room. Breakfast is also great and plentiful."

"We had a fantastic stay at Cloudy Hill Cottage. The view out over the mountains is incredible and so beautiful to wake up to every morning. The property is up on a hill behind Ella which makes it perfect if you're looking for something quieter away from the hustle and bustle of the town. It's about a 20 minute walk down to the main road or you can easily get a tuk-tuk. The host is so kind and generous and we had a delicious home-made traditional Sri Lankan breakfast every morning - one of the highlights of the stay! Highly recommended."

"The views are the selling point of this place. Located about 8 minutes drive from Ella town, the cottage is placed right opposite Ella Rock. The other selling point is the family that runs this place. They are super welcoming and will look after you throughout your stay. Overall the decor was a bit dated but room was clean and has everything you need."

"The area right below our balcony had quite a lot of rubbish scattered around the hill. This meant that if you wanted to enjoy the views closer to the edge of the balcony you’d also see a lot of empty plastic containers and rubble. We stayed in the triple cottage which is lower down the hill and has another building in front of it which has a massive water tank on top and big unfinished pillars sticking out its roof. Both the rubble and this building are in view and in my opinion is what don’t make the view a 10/10. The bed was really firm, probably the hardest bed I have ever slept on and didn’t find it particularly comfortable."

"Cloudy Hill is a very special place. The hospitality from the owner / family is fantastic. Not only was I treated to an amazing breakfast each morning, but the owner went over and above to arrange tuk-tuk rides for me to and from town. The room was also big and spacious and had the most incredible views, including of sunrise each morning."

"Beside a stunning view and peaceful setting what made our stay so special was the family that runs this place… simply amazing people! Super welcoming and attentive. They offer all type of services, taxis , excursions, laundry, scooter rental and all of the at good prices . We even did a cooking school with them and had the best food ever!"

"The only thing that could be improved is the way the bathroom and shower are designed as the water from the shower runs freely on basically the whole bathroom. This was no big deal for a couple of nights."

"We had an exceptional stay with our family at this hotel in Ella. There were 13 of us, and everything was perfectly arranged to accommodate our group comfortably. The staff were incredibly kind, always smiling and attentive to our needs. The breakfast was generous, varied, and absolutely delicious. It was truly an amazing experience that we will never forget.
