"We had the new room on the lower floor and it was large with a sofa area too. The family are super friendly and gave us a great breakfast each day."

"Room was a bit basic. No kettle or small fridge. The tuktuk driver that accomodation arranged for us took us on a trip, but hit a dog while driving :( maybe he could stop and just check the dog if he was ok…"

"Nalaka and his family are extremely kind and helpful! Nalaka helps with organizing every transfer or little trip into town for a very fair price. He even made us a lunch box at 5 in the morning when we went to Horton Plains. The bed was very big and comfortable and the room and bathroom were clean. The breakfast, tea and coffee every morning was perfect. The view from the room is amazing. Walking into Ella town from here isn't hard, it takes about 10 minutes. We had the best time at Different View and definitely recommend staying here!"

"The only thing I missed was a small wardrobe or a few hooks on the walls to hang our clothes. But we just used the two tables in the room as our wardrobe so it was still fine."

"Great view, room was very big and had everything needed, comfortable bed (pillows a little bit hard and bulky), clean and had hot shower. Staff was very friendly and helpful, great breakfast! The walk to other places and town is 20 mins but it is not bad, even with uphill."

"Didn’t have good wifi connection, had to sit outside near the stairwell to get it to work. Inside the room there was no chance. Told the owner and not much he could do because of the signal tower being far away."

"Nalaka and his family are great hosts! They took good care of us and were helpful with the local knowledge and special requests. The room was clean and spacious with adequate plug points and a small sofa area as well. The breakfast was tasty and was included with our stay."

"Some things that would help travellers consider if this stay is ideal per their requirements or not - 1) There is a road work going on from the main road to the hotel (500m) due to which you have to get dropped off far and then carry luggage and walk (Nalaka was helpful in carrying one bag but overall very inconvenient). Every time if you want to go out, there will be a long walk through a bumpy path which might not be feasible for everyone. ; 2) Our room was on the first floor and the Little Adam’s rock view was hindered due to some construction going on in front ; 3) The room does not feature amenities such as a mini fridge or an AC which could be a deal breaker"
